Warm-Up Doodles 29-5-12

A bunch of practise doodles I felt like sharing. I do a few like this each day before I start working on commissions, just mainly to keep my sanity.

We Baba Zingela Siyo

My OCs, Tazara (hyena) and Lumaria (genet) in TLK Diznay style... 'cos I couldn't post this anywhere as its not really original enough to call my own art... but still. This is an example of what I'm in danger of drawing when I have too much free time and not enough work!

"Nice predator...wouldn't hurt a teeny little genet! Right?"

Background was borrowed from an animation backgrounds blog, obviously if I intended to finish this I'd draw my own. But for the sake of fake authenticity, I prefer the Lion King layout :P All credit for the background image goes to the respective artist. Hyena style was referenced from the movie, genet was created on my own. This was just for fun!

Wee update, not really doing much in the way of personal work just now. Kinda snowed under with commissions, mostly NSFW stuff :33

This creature is a Sergal of the southern variety, created by artist Trancy Mick dA@Mick39. I've been wanting to draw one for a while, I love their slender reptilian look whilst still being fluffy x3

Spaceman, I always wanted you to goooo....

Art not by me! This lovely commission was done for me by BladeBandit at dA, she drew my Lumaria looking so chilled in space! (Why yes, pink genets can breathe in a vacuum.) I love the way her eyes make her look alien :B Extraterrestrial-rific!. And look at that backdrop! I'd definitely recommend this artist to anyone :D

So little time, so many projects. In-between doing commissions and remixing, I've started this little number :3 GODZIRRRAAA >:D Click for LARGEEeeeNess.

I've just realised how much I love drawing reptiles. I also wanted to make sure this was completely unlike Failzilla from the 1998 movie, yet still a more realistic portrayal of King Kaiju himself. There will be an impressive Atomic Blast included when this is finished ^^ RAWR.

Evolution

After several failed attempts at a proper self portrait, I thought fuck it. I can doodle. I've always wanted to do a kind of 'growing up' picture. Note the progression: Where did my Curls Go, Being a Pokemon, I wish I was a Cheetah, Everyone Hates me, I Hate everything except Davey Havok, and finally, Haters Gon' Hate. I'd go into more depth but the point of a picture is it explains that for me, right?

Up to Something..

Thought I'd draw my favourite meddling trio up to no good. Swiping Pikachu from a Pokémon centre? A perfect plot...almost too perfect...

Gnoll Rogue Concept

Gnolls are awesome yet misunderstood brutes. Most RPGs write them as drooling, brawling idiots. Hyenas get much of the same treatment, when really they are intelligent and complex animals, not just a bunch of Shenzis, Banzais and Eds! >w< Anyway, enough hyaenidaeic love from me . Check out this badass rogue babe!

Could it be?

Long time no post! After coming back to 2nd year, I've recently [finally] been coming up with some animation ideas. Spending a lot of time doodling in the studio has been pretty fun, especially as I'm out of practice for pretty much anything except furries. On that note, here's a cartoon animal you've probably never heard of: a Kinkajou. Google it.

So yes, during my usual ride on the 99B this morning, I was struck by an idea for a cartoon. Story idea? Tara? I know right. It's crazy. I won't spoil just yet, but it does involve this kinkajou, a linsang, and a binturong.

004 - I'll admit

I do actually draw. A lot. You probably know by now that I'm a furry artist, and I'm afraid the majority of my artwork these days isn't stuff I'd show to my parents >< Here's something rather tame of mine, a Glaceon by the name of Galicia I doodled and coloured up :3 When I do have time for drawing its all cute furry girls and commissions :< the rest of the time its the usual 8-4 work crap =[ My figure drawing is improving very slowly due to the fact I just can't find the time for obs drawing... the things we have to sacrifice for money eh =/

003- Wolfy sketch

I'd better get back to this sketch-a-day thing if I want to keep my art in shape! Maplestory took my life a bit these past few weeks. Anyway, here's some lupine action.... kind of ended up like Moro from Princess Mononoke. Plain background is plain! I plan to do a bit more speed painting to get those up to scratch too. :D

Rigs found at creativecrash.com [at least I think that's the name] all Animation by moi. I'm really enjoying animating with maya... and modelling too. And texturing! You can count on any further films from me being 3D =D

002- Copycat

Not keeping this up to date, am I? -_- Here is a random blue cat in the style of some of my favourite artists. We have Walt Disney, CLAMP, Osama Tezeuka, Yuji Uekawa and Chuck Jones! It was interesting to draw in my own style afterwards, I can clearly see the influence of all of them X3

001 - You are a Pirate

I know how I'll make good use of this blog! I'll post one sketch a day, similar to this "Project 365" some of my friends are doing, except I can't take photos and if so they would all be of my cat or food.

So here's my first sketch, drawn after a rather weird dream about a jurassic park animatronics exhibition and trying to catch a buzzard and kestrel in my room. This has nothing to do with my sketch... I felt like drawing seagulls and this lady was born D:
